Carlo Gavazzi Safety Modules
Carlo Gavazzi offers a complete range of safety modules featuring cul and TUV approvals. These modules are designed to power by 24 VAC/DC, 110 VAC, or 230 VAC and feature LED status indicators.
Safety Light Curtains
Safety light curtains are very important, because they
protect against dangerous points of an operation and safeguard access. The
infrared beams generate the safety outputs that are activated and stopped by
dangerous motion. Safety light
curtains are used to protect work areas of presses and punching machines.
Safety Mates
SM Series safety mates are safeguarding devices designed for
the protection and surveillance of hazardous areas, in the surroundings of
industrial machineries. These modules are designed to withstand heavy-duty
applications in damp and dirty environments, where almost no other safety
devices can be used. Safety mats are suitable for monitoring, in compliance with
Safety Category 3 requirements.
Safety Modules
Safety Module reduces the risk of the machine development process phase. Specialized modules are able to manage emergency stop buttons, light curtains, two hand controls or safety mats.
Safety Bus
Bus-powered input modules provide the interface to the safety
switches, which may be emergency stop palm buttons, pull-cord switches or other
devices with NC contact. Safety Bus is a safe solution, because the risk of
undetected bridges over normally closed safety contacts is considerably
reduced.
Safety Switches
Safety limit switches supervise security of industrial machines,
that often can’t rely upon secure working areas, because an inadequate
down-time doesn’t occlude access. Carlo Gavazzi safety limit switches provide
control of the hazardous areas access points, by intervening on the control
circuit. The switches operate when the machine immediately comes to a complete
stop as the mobile protector (covers, cases, doors, grids, etc.) is opened or a
rope is pulled.

Extension Module
NE1/4-D, NE1/4-D/230 is a zero delay extension module the increase the number of safety outputs. Extension modules must be used in conjunction with a safety module and allow to keep the same safety category. They also provide a NC feedback output to control the internal force guided relay integrity.
